Recently Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to share a detail about his movie ‘Don’ which featured the iconic song ‘Khaike Paan Banaras Wala’. His tweet read, “An after thought, that became THE thought .. song 'khaike paan banaras wala' was done after film DON was completed ..”
For the uninitiated, the film's iconic song ‘Khaike Paan Banaraswala’ was never meant for ‘Don’. It was written for Dev Anand’s film ‘Banarasi Babu’. The song was shot after the entire filming was complete and added post interval to balance the action-packed pace of the film. Actor Manoj Kumar, who saw the rushes, said the film was so gripping that even taking a "toilet break" was difficult. Hence, the song was included on his recommendation. During its recording Kishore Kumar actually chewed paan and spat it on a plastic sheet to make it seem natural.

She had gone to the wash room and had almost collapsed there with the final pains of delivery. Some hours later she gave birth to a boy. That boy was me! My Father for some reason always believed that I was the incarnation of his Father, after this incident. I do not know if I have been true to the incarnate presence of my Grandfather, but it has never been short of effort. The blessings of the Almighty and the affection and prayers of elders, has, through good fortune, remained with me throughout, and I am indebted to them, and all those, that have since, given me the love and regard of a magnitude that is immeasurable!"

In one of his recent interviews, Bachchan revealed how the audience doesn’t mind watching four films of the same actor in the same month as long as the film delivers good content and entertainment. The films that released back-to-back and went on to become superhits were ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikander,’ ‘Kasme Vaade,’ ‘Don’ and ‘Trishul.’ Interestingly, two of these four films – ‘Kasme Vaade’ and ‘Don’ – saw Amitabh in a double role. Another intriguing fact is that barring ‘Don,’ three other films saw Rakhee as the female lead opposite Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan surviving on just 25% of his liver
Bollywood's most loved and respected actor, Amitabh Bachchan has made a shocking revelation. At the launch of a media campaign on Hepatitis, Big B revealed that he has lost 75% of his liver to the deadly Hepatitis virus. He further added that he is surviving on only 25% of his liver today, reports Indianexpress.com. Talking about how he contracted the disease, the 'Paa' star revealed that he had been injected with almost 60 bottles of blood from close to 200 donors and one of them was carrying Hepatitis B virus. However, he also added that he continued working perfectly fine until 2000. It was during a normal routine check-up that he got to know that he was surviving on only 25% of his liver. In the same report, Big B also added that one can survive with even 12% of liver but no one would want to get to that stage.

With his debut film, Saat Hindustani, clocking more than four decades today on November 6, 2015, megastar Amitabh Bachchan completes 46 years in the Hindi movie industry. The 73-year-old actor made his first screen appearance as a poet, hailing from Bihar, opposite Utpal Dutt, A K Hangal and ace comedian Mehmood Ali’s younger brother, Anwar Ali.
