Rathika Ramasamy is inarguably one of India’s finest wildlife photographers. She is a member of the Nikon’s Professional services and has been the jury member of several prestigious photography competitions. Her work has been featured on several publications and platforms worldwide.
Born in a village Venkatachalapuram near Theni, a town in southern India, Rathika has completed her graduation in computer engineering before getting an MBA. Once, she visited a sanctuary in Bharatpur and clicked pictures with a camera gifted by her uncle. It was then she realised her passion for wildlife photography. Teaching herself some basic skills, she started to spend time in the national parks observing the movements of animals.
Named as the first female wildlife photographer of India, Rathika’s work has been appreciated worldwide. Apart from photography, Rathika loves travelling and reading.
