When I was 15 all i dreamed of was to meet the band One Direction. Lets face it we all loved the band and were crazy about them. I did not know my calling or where I was headed. I did not think of what I could and should be doing. Rather I focused on what I could not do. But there was one teenager who at 15 knew what she wanted to be and what she wanted to do. She answered her calling to fashion and designing just when she was a teenager. I am talking about the one and only Payal Singhal. Payal started her career when she was a teenager. She won the contest for Shoppers Stop and won The Designer of the Year award when she was only 15. Pretty cool right, just at 15 yrs of age. She further went to SNDT in Mumbai where she explored her creative mind and rocked everybody with her black bridal collection titled "THE SATANIC VERSE". She portrayed the collection at her graduation and blew the judges away.
Payal then moved on to become a stylist at MTV. Later in 1999 she launched her own label. Her designs were given a twist boring Indian outfits were transformed to something different, funky and cool. Payal wanted to grab the attention of the younger generation and that she did. Her designs were soon discovered by many famous magazines and included along side of other famous designers. In 2004 she shifted to USA to endorse her brand and expand business. Payal quoted that "Indian clothes available in US were outdated, clients wanted something cooler." She shifted back to Mumbai in 2010 and started an e-commerce site with her husband. The change was not easy but she inspires us to not back down from fulfilling our dreams. She successfully launched her website in 2012. Payal achieved success but she did not stop herself from expanding her brand and creativeness.
Today she is tied up with many brands and designs for them. She designed for The Bombay Shirt company and my favorite Fizzy Goblet. She focused her designs on her strength which is contemporary Indian wear. She gives me courage to stand up and work hard to achieve my dream. The problems she faced were not easy but she gives out the ray of determination to complete her dream in her designs. If she can do it why cant I?? These are the pair of juttis I just bought and I absolutely love them. Go and check out them out at the website – https://www.fizzygoblet.com/
