           The captaian of Indian National Cricket team virat Kohli was born on 5 November 1988 in New Dehli.his father prem kohli has a criminal lawyer and mother is housewife.“Virat Kohli” is not only a player but is a whole story of inspiration within himself. At the age of 30 (as of in 2019), Virat has been recognized as one of the best cricketers in the world.             


                  Among Indian batsmen, Kohli has the best ever Test rating(937 points), ODI rating (911 points) and T20I rating (897 points).He played an amazing 90 runs knock the next day and took his team out of trouble. When media reporters asked Virat about this decision, he quoted; I wanted to play because for me not completing a cricket game is a sin. That was a moment that changed me as a person. The importance of cricket in my life is very high.          

                      The entire Indian team was in attendance when Smriti Mandhana, one of the stars of the Indian women’s campaign in the 2017 World Cup, went up on stage as one of the recipients at an award function and wished Virat Kohli the best for the 2019 World Cup. “We came close but failed to close it out. Here’s wishing Virat and the boys all success. May they get the Cup home,” said Mandhana to a rapturous applause.

                   Virat Kohli's net worth in 2016 was $63 million including his salary, endorsements and his earnings from matches. Kohli is also the co-owner of FC Goa in Indian Super League (ISL) He received his early schooling from Vishal Bharti Public School. His interest in cricket continued to grow and his father had him enrolled at the West Delhi Cricket Academy when Virat was nine. He trained at the academy under Rajkumar Sharma and also played matches at the Sumit Dogra Academy.  

                   He has to smile and soak it all in. He is captain of India and a billion people expect superhuman things from him. In late 2004, he was selected in the Delhi Under-17 team for the 2003–04 Vijay Merchant Trophy. He scored 470 runs in four matches at an average of 117.50 with two hundreds and top-score of 251*. Delhi Under-17s won the 2004–05 Vijay Merchant Trophy in which Kohli finished as the highest run-scorer with 757 runs from 7 matches at an average of 84.11 with two centuries.In February 2006, he made his List A debut for Delhi against Services but did not get to bat.                                                                                                    In August 2008, Kohli was included in the Indian ODI squad for tour of Sri Lanka and the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. Prior to the Sri Lankan tour, Kohli had played only eight List A matches,and his selection was called a "surprise call-up".During the Sri Lankan tour, as both first-choice openers Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag were injured, Kohli batted as a makeshift opener throughout the series. He made his international debut, at the age of 19, in the first ODI of the tour and was dismissed for 12. He made his first ODI half century, a score of 54, in the fourth match which helped India win the series. He had scores of 37, 25 and 31 in the other three matches. India won the series 3–2 which was India's first ODI series win against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.
