With 4 National awards, 7 Filmfare awards and many more accolades to her name, Shreya Ghoshal is undoubtedly one of the best playback singers India has ever produced. She is a leading playback singer and music composer and has achieved a great deal at a very young age. The reality show Sa Re Ga Ma brought Shreya into the limelight. She got her first break as a playback singer with SLB’s iconic movie Devdas in 2002. She even won a National Award for the song ‘Bairi Piya’ from the same movie.

Shreya Ghoshal gained immense popularity right after her big Bollywood debut. She collaborated with almost all the top music composers of Bollywood and gave back to back hit numbers. She won her other three National Awards for the songs ‘Dheere Jalna’ from Paheli, ‘Yeh Ishq Haaye’ from Jab We Met and single award for both songs ‘Pherari Mon’ from Antaheen and ‘Jeev Rangla’ from Jogwa. She also received seven Filmfare Awards and ten Filmfare Awards South for Best Female Playback Singer. She was nominated and won several other prestigious awards such IIFA Awards, Mirchi Music Awards, Screen Awards, Guild Awards and Zee Cine Awards. Shreya’s achievements is not limited to just playback singing. She is also a music composer, has judged numerous reality shows and performs in music concerts worldwide. In 2013, she performed at the Brisbane Convention Center, Dallas Brooks Center and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. She went on London tour twice and performed in Royal Albert Hall in 2013 and 2014. She also sang the theme song at the closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games’ 2010.

Shreya Ghoshal’s popularity is not just limited to India but she is an international sensation as well. She is the first Indian singer to have her statue in the Madame Tussauds Wax museum. She was honoured by the Governor of Ohio in 2010, by declaring 26th June as ‘Shreya Ghoshal Day’. She has been ranked below 50 for consecutive five years in Forbes Celebrity 100 list.  She also appeared in Verve’s 50 Power Women of 2016 list. She was awarded with the highest honour in London by the members of House of Commons of the United Kingdom. Shreya Ghoshal is the undisputed ‘Queen of playback singing’ of this generation and is an inspiration to all the young professionals who want to make a career in music.

  1. Great work with great keywords but the only problem i think here is the way you showed her achievements means i can’t be able to read all of them easily, either highlight them or write it down in points but overall nice work.
