Deepika Padukone is a perfect epitome of success. She has carved her path to success by hard work, determination and perseverance. In 2006, she made a debut in a Kannada film and in 2007 she was casted in Om Shanti Om opposite to the King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan which was the highest-grossing film of that year. She is undoubtedly a talented actress with great potential.
In 2010, after all the past success in her career, she experienced her failures with five film releases which did not upgrade her career graph. This phase continued till the year 2011. Her success graph elevated in 2015, with her historical drama film release, Bajirao Mastani which was a great hit and was at the peak of her career.
Inspite of all the success, she had once battled with depression. At first, she tried to avoid the negative emotions but later she did require medical treatment to overcome it. She then launched an NGO named Live Love Laugh Foundation to promote mental health awareness.
I too had such a phase in my life. After my 10th grade, I was unable to focus on my studies and was highly distracted by social media. I scored low grades in my examinations and fell into the trap of depression. It was a difficult period that I was going through. I was inspired by Deepika Padukone and I seeked help from a counsellor for my mental health.
This is how Deepika Padukone has impacted my life in a poitive manner. I learnt that success alone is not the key factor to a healthy mind. I also learnt that it is necessary to proioritise mental health as much as our physical well-being.
