The way she has gracefully managed to maintain her smile even after the break-up with her Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) co-star – Ranbir Kapoor, shows that how strong she as a person is. She moved on & had no hesitations in working with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in several other films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) & Tamasha (2015). She has forgiven Ranbir for the damage he did to her & she has befriended him.
Deepika didn’t let her performance in films get affected because of the break-up. Even in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani & Tamasha, she performed her character excellently & was on par with Ranbir Kapoor’s performance. She got wider appreciation & recognition for her performance in these two films. She then acted in several films like Piku (2015), Bajirao Mastani (2015), XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017), Padmaavat (2018). She rose to international fame with XXX (opposite Hollywood Actor Vin Diesel) in 2017. She was widely appreciated for her performance as rani Padmavati in Padmaavat along with Ranveer Singh & Shahid Kapoor.
The way she has fought with her mental trauma has been an inspiration for me. Not just me, it should inspire others as well to fight back & to deal with their mental health problems gracefully. She is the main source of my new found courage that today I can deal with the people who bully me. Today I can give a befitting reply to those who judge, taunt & bully me. Be it my brother, anyone in my family, or be it someone from the outside, I have the courage to deal with them effectively. All thanks to Deepika Padukone who inspired me to smile at my most difficult & depressing times, who gave me the courage to fight back. Others as well, need to follow Deepika Padukone to take inspiration from her on how to deal with difficult times & how to be strong. She has also launched The Live Love Laugh Foundation, an NGO that aims to reduce the stigma, spread awareness and change the way we look at Mental Health. If you or your loved ones are suffering from any mental health issues, then you can feel free to contact them. And remember you are not alone, there are thousands of people who are suffering from mental health problems and there is no shame in seeking help for it from the counselors.
