Its one of those rare films you can watch again and again without really getting bored. As it completes seven years, here are eight major reasons that make it a timeless watch…
This was one of the major highlights of the film. Be it the love (when Hrithik falls for Katrina), happiness (when Hrithik feels so good after snorkeling that he cries), sadness (when Farhan is feeling low after meeting his father) or the zest to live (last scene when Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay run for their lives), ZNMD's poems are so damn relatable!
2 True Friendship
The film shows how true friends can go to any extent for each other, even if that means ending up in jail.
3 Living without regret
Katrina kisses Hrithik and says "Mujhe afsos karna nahi aata" (I don't know how to have regrets).
4 Do your thing without caring about what the society thinks
Even though he doesn't really want to, Abhay Deol's marriage is somehow fixed with Kalki Koechlin. But without caring much about the society, he eventually listens to his heart and doesn't go ahead with the wedding.
5 Saying sorry when you mean it
When Naseeruddin Shah apologizes to his son Farhan in the film without really meaning it, Farhan tells him to say sorry only when it comes from the heart.
6 Facing your fears
All friends on the trip, do at least one thing that scares them, because Darr ke aage jeet hai (Sorry, that was pathetic).
7 Live life to the fullest, money isn't everything and it can wait
Hrithik, inspired by Katrina, decides to leave his high-paying job to live life to the fullest.
8 Have passions/interests outside work
Apart from work, it is very important to have passions or interests. Farhan is a copywrites but immensely enjoys writing poems.
