Sushant Singh Rajput a guy from a middle class family who got 7th rank in AIEEE and cleared around 11 other engineering entrance exams left engineering in 3rd year to pursue his passion for art and acting. 1 Sushant did not made his debut via Pavitra rishta show
His first role was in ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’ as Preet Juneja. He then was casted for ‘Pavitra Rishta’ in lead role as Manav Deshmukh. Initially, makers didn’t wanted to cast him but then Ekta Kapoor convinced them by saying ‘his smile would win a million hearts’ and then he got the part.
2 He was a dancer under Shiamak Davar.
He was a dancer under Shiamak Davar and has performed behind many actors in Award shows and also performed in Commonwealth Games in the year 2006.
3 Talent runs in their family.
sushant's elder sister Mitu singh was a state level cricket player. And we know Sushant’s love for cricket.
4 Assisted Mohit Suri.
Sushant assisted director Mohit Suri in filmming of sequal of the horror/thriller movie Raaz 2 - The Mystery Continues.
This definetly shows his versitality, and it is just a part of it. He also has learned Martial Arts from Allan Ami and also went under training for archery.
5 Sushant's only Music Video.
Sushant has been featured in a music video named "Paas Aao" opposite Kriti Sanon. It was an ad campaign for Close Up released in 2017. It was in the same year as of their movie 'Raabta' was released.
6 Sushant has given wings to young astronaut’s dreams.
Sushant sponsored a trip to the US Space Camp Center for two children and one of them became ‘best trainee camper’. He himself interviewed each and every student for the camp. He also gave educational scholorship to 100 students on basis of their knowledge through 31 days test.
7 Rajkumar Hirani gave Sushant a 20rupee note as signing amount for ‘P.K.’
Sushant agreed to do the role in P.K. for only one reason- Rajkumar Hirani. It was Sushant’s dream to work with him. Hirani did tell him that it was a very small but important role. Sushant said, ‘Doesn’t matter sir, even if you ask me to walk from one side of the frame to the other I’d do it’.” Apparently Sushant did not charge a single penny for the part. And the 20 rupee note which Hirani gave him as signing amount, he got it laminated and hung it on the wall of his living room.
