1 From Olatrips.com to OlaCabs
When Bhavish left Microsoft & thaught of entering this business line , his parents were quite surprised and tensed. In an interview Bhavish told : (Laughs) They thought I was becoming a travel agent. My parents are doctors. It was a little different for them to understand what I wanted to do.
Ola initially started off as Olatrip.com, a website that offered package weekend trips. Where, the CEO used to give handouts of tour/travel packages to visitors at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. further unseen problem of personal transport was seen as an opportunity ; which turned it into an Olacabs
2 A tuff love story with a Startup guy😍!
If you are reading this , quote - "There is a woman behind every successful man " perfectly fits in . Once in an interview Raj told that bhavish was so broke that he was even unable to pay off their dates and she used to pay for their coffee bills .Though Bhavish added that he is a typical baniya 😝😂 and seemed it as an investment. But, Actually Rajalakshmi has been supporting not only her husband but also his company. Ever since its very early days – he’d borrow her girlfriend's car to fulfil requests when Ola was still a young startup.
Now that deserves an appalause ! 👏🏻👏🏻
3 To the times; when a Microsoft employee turning the owner became a RIDER for his startup 😛
Uncertainity is the only certainity especially when it comes to businesses!
Breaking stereotypes , many a times he himself used to drove the cars to drop his customers when drivers didn't show up.
whoops ! that was a brave move ! #determination
4 Ola’s social media campaigns #PeekeMatChala. #ChaabiChurao were super fun ride !
Social media done right – the using of the hacks was topical, and generated lots of buzz. Trolling your 83,000 followers was brave, but hard hitting. Andother campaign in 2019 fit along with perfectly Ola’s core value proposition – cab aggregators are perhaps the best way to get home after a drunken night out this holiday season.
Here’s three cheers to Ola’s social marketing team for pulling off one of the strongest Twitter campaigns this year.
A perfect G.O.A.T. 👌🏻!
5 Most highlighted names in Ola’s driver list !
The most common names of drivers registered on the Ola platform are Ramesh (3079) & Suresh (2661). Other popular names include Sanjay, Rajesh and Santosh
HAHAHA! never mind .. It's India 😉🤪... just Indian things!
Though this start up has not just helped owners but also improved the living standard and earnings of the cab drivers. Trolling is still onn....
6 Ola fleet is as long as distance from Kashmir to Kanyakumari
Starting off as weekend-trips package offering website. Now, It has enough vehicles to create a line-up as long as the distance between Kashmir and Kanyakumari (3,895km). Ola vehicles cover an average distance of about 43.4L kilometres a day, i.e. over 10 times the distance between Moon and Earth.
Woah , Isn't this amazing✨ !??!
7 Still doesn’t own his own car and vows never to own one !
It's hard to believe : A Millionaire, who doesn't own his own car !
he believes emerging traffic on roads is tiring and problemetic ! So why to bother yourself with such high payments on owning , fueling and services while you can get it all at one call ! Moreover, his schedule is too busy for driving on his own !
Why to worry when , Ola is always there to carry him all the times!
Wasn't this appealing !
