What is a Marketing Campaign?
It is an organised course of action that uses different types of media to promote products and services. Brands devote significant resources for their various marketing campaigns to create brand awareness and generate revenue. Personally, I look-up to a few industry experts who believe that a successful marketing campaign includes various factors such as revenue generated, impressions created in the minds of a user and the importance of the message delivered through these campaigns.
So, lets look at a few some of the most innovative marketing campaigns of 2020.
1 COCA COLA # THE LETTER, GIVE SOMETHING ONLY YOU CAN GIVE CAMPAIGN
Coca Cola as we know it, is known for its most innovative camapaigns from the very beginning. The company celebrating 100 years of Christmas, encourages its consumers to give something unique that only you can this holiday season. Sending out a felling of holiday around the corner of the year and people should be more present for each other.
The campaign brought in immense amount of customer engagement. Vijay Parasuraman, the present VP Marketing of Coca Cola India, talks about his expertise and his learnings from working for the company's marketing styles and preferences.
2 NIKE- DREAM CRAZIER CAMPAIGN 2020
" It's only crazy until you do it, just do it", This campaign featured Selena Williams,throws light on celebration of women in soprts, it showcases female athletes who have broken barriers, brought people together through their performance and inspired generations of athletes to chase after their dreams.
3 GILLETTE- BARBER SURAKSHA PROGRAMME
Gillette took up a unique intiative to support the barber community during the pandemic by extending financial support such as providing them with safety kits, educating them with videos with various safety procedures and giving them all a sense of hope and support for the months to come. The video features Sachin Tendulkar, spreading awareness about the various difficulties of different people of our society during this period of crisis.
4 BURGER KING- RESTAURANTS OF TOMORROW
As one of the world's leading fast food chains, Burger King has focused on the new normal addressing some of the main concerns of their customers such as hygiene. The brand being the best in the market wants to make sure that their customers are eating at a clean place, the staff members are healthy and are regularly checked and they have zero direct contact with thier customers.
5 APPLE- #CREATIVITY GOES ON
Apple's marketing campaign, #Creativity goes on , was launched right after the entire world around everyone was shunned for a while, Apple took this opportunity to express how creative people can get and how much time we have now to do so at the comforts of our own homes.
The video included celebrities such as John Krasinski working on an episode of his YouTube show #SomeGoodNews, Oprah Winfrey addressing #OprahTalks viewers on Apple TV+ with words of support, and the actress Lily James taking part in the #SaveWithStories children’s book initiative with her iPad.
